    • Update on 930chas's E-shift Performance 2JZ swap into E39 M5, car has dyno'd 762 whp at 30 psi

Justin Nenni from Tuning Concepts has been up at E-shift tuning the past couple days. Yesterday he tuned the car on 93 pump gas, and it made 585whp at 19psi. They have been working on it today with e85. Here is a video of one of the dyno runs. They are still working on it, but it just hit 762whp at 30psi on e85.

I have to admit, it is such a strange sound to hear that jet-like wooooossshhhhh as boost hits coming out the back of an m5..but man is it intoxicating. This car is all kinds of fun.

Yes sir - done deal - wore my fronts down to the cords (bad alignment) - running joke in DC is that whenever anything bad happens to my tires - somehow Clayton's involved (blew a rear less than 24hrs after Clayton decided to pull a John Force impersonation in my car at MIR) - this time he got a nail in his fronts a week earlier than my cords discovery - coincidence - I think not...); anyway texted Clayton (really called him names for jinxing me) - he just said - "you may want to hold off on new 19's until you see my new wheels" . . .Sticky, he's a f*&ker - you may want to think twice about letting him in your life...I know it's a pic of a Bimmer but I plan on replicating that exact shot once they go onClick here to enlarge.

Haha. Who did you order through and when are these coming in? We may need to get two threads going now. Create one in the tires/wheels section when you get a chance so we can follow the process.

This beast is for sale at $27,500 obo. It is back on the stock 18" m5 wheels which will need new rear tires at some point. It has the stock 2000 nav unit, screen, and steering wheel back in it. Other then that everything is pretty much the same. So far it has seen approximately 2000 trouble free miles. Only nuisance is the clutch takes some getting used to from a start in first gear. It is either on or off, no modulating. Perfectly fine in all the other gears and car shifts like butter. Also, this car is a mechanical monster, but aesthetically it is a 10 footer. Any questions, let me know.

love your car, but i'm a OEM whore.... so 2JZ is a no go for me.. but this is a very clean install and i must put my "seal of approval" on it Click here to enlarge

However... that GTR hood stuff has never impressed me on a E39... it's like looking at a transvestite..

You'll never see this kind of power from the OEM motor. At least we haven't yet.

You will never hear the grunt of that high reeving V8 monster from the 2JZ either...

But i was not bashing it for what it is.... car has full functionality and makes crazy power...

even the RPM gauge works Click here to enlarge

I am not a fan of the hood either, but the 2jz is a hot running motor and figured the more airflow in the engine compartment the better.

Thanks again for the comments. It looks like the car is sold.
