      For the past 12 years, Dr. Mario Theissen has been the head of the BMW Motorsport programs. This means Formula 1, ALMS, DTM, etc, everything dealing with BMW racing was under his jurisdiction. He joined BMW in 1977 as a engineer. Jens Marquardt will take over next year, "Heading up BMW Motorsport is a dream job for me and a tremendous show of confidence," said 43-year-old Marquardt.

        I dunno is this supposed to be a good thing? I never follow these things.

        Considering Thiessen pissed away Sebastian Vettel to Red Bull and torpedoed Kubica's chances of winning the 2007 title, I guess it's a good thing. But it happened too late. He already did his damage.

        I didn't even think about that, good point, but ALMS did win under him and BMW did return to ALMS as well...

        If it wasn't for a freak accident they would have won Spa as well.
