    • Maximum PSI Stage 2 E46 SMG M3 stock internal S54 turbo kit put down 676 wheel horsepower

      Definitely nice to see more numbers for stock internal turbocharged E46 M3 S54's that are tuned on the factory computer. Maximum PSI previously showed horsepower in the high 690 wheel range with torque in the low 500 lb-ft range for the Stage II kit.

      This particular car is producing a bit less horsepower but a bit more torque with 676 horsepower and 532 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. The supporting mods between the cars are likely different and possibly the turbocharger as well although that is something Maximum PSI would have to clarify.

      The modifications to the SMG E46 M3 are:

      - Maximum PSI Stage 2 turbo kit
      - Maximum PSI 3 inch exhaust system
      - Stock DME tuning
      - MS109 Fuel

      For those wondering, Stage 3 ups the power figures to over 800 wheel horsepower but that requires a built motor and the Stage 3 is still being worked on as we understand it.

        This happened yesterday. Here is what can be done with a 6466: 711rwhp | 578rwtq

        NOTE: The stock-market-like spikes are due to spark blowout. I've been advised to lower the spark plug gap to .022 to prevent this. Should be a simple fix. Considering we made great power with this small issue, I am guesstimating 15-20rwhp and 10-15lbs torque more with a clean spark.

        I would have 100% waited to post this until the easy fix has been made, that graph is not pretty, nor really postable. If the numbers hold with a clean graph, that is bad ass

        Need to see a clean graph but the peak power is impressive on stock internals of course. Especially considering the S54's compression.

        If someone used a thicker head gasket we could see a stock internal S54 do over 800 easily.

        I know man... If it wasn't for the major subframe issue on the E46, I'd stop looking for a 335 and get the MaximumPSI kit.

        Their Stage 2 kit is the same as Stage 1 hardware wise except it is designed for MS109. Typical power numbers are 470-500whp SAE on pump gas with the 6266.

        So the stage 2 is basically a tuned up stage 1 Click here to enlarge ? Still nice numbers! I was asking as many don't have access to racing fuels or atleast they cost like 7-8$ per LITRE yes litre LOL here in Europe.
