    • Discovery Automotive destroys customer's car along with what was left of their reputation

Take this as a warning BMW enthusiasts. Discovery Automotive was able to create a good reputation for themselves on M5board where they profited from exposure in cleaning up RMS mistakes. Shadowman, Bill of Discovery Automotive, was able to force his way into the lucrative high-end BMW tuning scene through the easiest route available, which is taking advantage of M5 owners. To be honest, we fell for this as well seeing Discovery Automotive take great care in posting their builds to give the appearance of a high end shop only for horror stories to start to surface.

What happened in this particular instance is that Bill took a car that was under his care, a twin turbo Ford GT, and went out to a spot known to the locals as a "drag strip" and abused the car resulting in losing control and wrecking it. Bill, William E. Knobloch, would begin to distort the truth attempting to skirt responsibility for what happened. What happened was he behaved irresponsibly with an immensely powerful vehicle that did not belong to him and wrecked it playing around like some teenager who couldn't control himself. Feel free to read the whole story in quotes below.

Take this as a warning when sending your car to a tuner or who you are using as your tuner. This isn't the only tuner who has behaved irresponsibly with a car under their care. How many of them go out under the guise of "testing" only to race around with someone else's property? Well, at least we all know that Discovery Automotive is one tuner BMW fans can cross off the list, permanently.

Not as long as this shows up for Discovery Automotive in Google on the very first page: http://www.bimmerboost.com/content.p...eir-reputation

Can Dell sue him for no compensation for the use of their logo to promote his products.....it's clear that his alien logo is a direct rip off the Alienware computer series and he's got it etched into his products. You can clearly see it on the suspension of that wrecked Fort GT on the front page:

Pretty good catch but the eyes are different enough to where it isn't a direct rip.

I mean, whatever, I don't see why anyone would give this asshat any business.

What was the resolution for all of this? The thread just kinda died. Was the owner properly compensated?

From the looks of it the insurance company ate it and the discovery automotive tool bag Shadowman (Bill, William E. Knobloch) seems to have gotten off Scot-free. The GT owner already has another GT.

His site is back up like nothing happened. I can tell you this much, we will not forget it and neither will Google.

The more you guys mention his name along with the company in this thread the more important Google will pay to it meaning people will find out.

Really, when you think abut it, Bill Noballs does not have one original idea and or thought EVER.

Don't worry, nobody is letting him off the hook. I most certainly will not.
