Mercedes does not intend to give up on the V12 anytime soon. Development of the updated 6.0 liter twin turbo M279 powerplant is solely AMG's responsibility today. That means all twin turbo V12 engines are hand built and all offer 6.0 liters of displacement. You are about to see that beefy 6.0 liters in action propelling a 5,000 pound German luxury sedan and all 738 lb-ft of torque and 621 horses are definitely put to use.

This isn't the fastest AMG by any means but seeing how effortlessly this bulk is moved by the V12 reminds you why the engine continues to have a place in the lineup. It is just like a freight train that keeps going and going and going.

God yes I love it. Sounds like Satan eating a bowl of lions. Absolutely the one car I would have if I could only have one for the rest of my life.
