    • Evolve Automotive BMW E92 M3 DCT cat delete pipes and stage 2 S65 tune DynoJet results - +32 wheel horsepower

A customer got in touch with us with the intention of consulting on different methods of extracting more power from his E92 M3 DCT. Mentioning that he already had the aFe Stage 2 Intake and Eisenmann Sport Muffler, he wanted to get a host of modifications that added more growl and more importantly, add a lot of more punch to the S65B40.

Explaining to him how the biggest power restriction on his car are the primary catalytic converters, we introduced him to the newly released Evolve Automotive Test Pipes. These test pipes are a bit unique compared to the competition because it features a very nice slip-on flange. We chose this method for the sake of assuring no risk of exhaust leaks, loose connections, and ease of installation.

In addition to this, he expressed his concern with getting a CEL from the catalytic converter delete. He also really appreciated some of the neat features that we had with our tune. To really refine the power output from the Test Pipes, he decided to move forward with our Stage 2 Tune as well.

Evolve Automotive Stage 2 Tune Features:

      Raised RPM Limit to 8500RPM
      Speed Limiter Delete
      Cold Start Delete
      93 Octane
      EvolveR OBDII Cable
      Servo Tronic Calibration
      Exhaust Overrun Burble

The work was carried out by our dealer Deans Performance Eurowerks in Chicago.

      Analysis:

There is no denying that the Evolve Test Pipes add a tremendous amount of power throughout the whole powerband. There are portions of the powerband with nearly 25whp/wtq gains! Not bad for a $450 piece of hardware. With Evolve's Stage 2 Tune, you can see how with the combination of fueling, ignition, and VANOS timing, the top end really comes to life.

In our opinion, this is the 'best for your buck' for the S65B40.
