    • Rob Beck Upgraded Turbo 335 vs. bolt on Lamborghini Gallardo

The 335 in this video belongs to BimmerBoost user LostMarine. The Gallardo belongs to BimmerBoost user Byzantine. The 335 has Rob Beck upgraded turbos (20 psi) and dynos around 480 whp. The 335 is running a JB3, helix FMIC, and 96 octane. The Gallardo has been lightened by about 200 pounds (it is a 2006 model) and has the LOC exhaust, EVOMS tune, and Fabspeed cat delete. We thank these two for making the trip to Bolivia to run the cars and show the result! Enjoy the video.

i have read on a few different car clubs trying to find airports in the north east to host an event and it seems like its a big issue, the whole idea is so popular that i think the turnout would be huge!! If its a private strip who will require the ins? i mean if its a huge "official" event i understand but if its just a "few" of us who says it has to be required. as far as the length i did the miami event and we did a standing mile with a mile of braking after and the braking was an overkill, 1/5 mile is more than enough and a 1/4 can probably work, here is a vid

Ro, I did the math and for our cars to do a proper and safe 40-130, we will need between 2/3 to 3/4 of a mile (includes comfortable braking zone).

easy way to confirm is to find a good _not runway_ road that we can stop/reset trip odom./then do it/ then see how long it was total...

i really dont think NJ is gonna be the place, we have a better shot at it in PA

According to VBOX, it takes my car between 1200-1300 feet to do a 60-130. Now factor another 20 mph and also the time it takes to get to 40 and initiate the race with honks. I'm guessing roughly 2000-2200ft to be safe. And another 1500 ft to brake safely (more the better). I think we should try PA, I know some people that can take care of insurance. I think the only issue is, that it needs to be a company.

right, so thats what its gonna take to go from a standstill-130, and then back down to 20/30mph for turn off. with being the least aggressive on the brakes as possible..

PA is probably the place to do it.. I have family that has pretty large connects... so ill see if either one of them knows A. a strip, or B. an Ins. Co. that may do it

Soo.. on my way to and from work today, in the much nicer 74* weather, whcih the car is absolulty LOVING right now, i decided to try my car from 40mph rolls..

        all runs done from 40mph-map7-16psi

        1. 3rd gear. punched it, downshifted to 2nd, and all hell broke loose shifted to 3rd-- not going to be good against an AWD Lambo..
        2. 2nd gr rolled into it.. slight wheels spin, but not enough throttle to make it worthwhile in a a race
        3. 2nd gr stomped it-spin city as expected but grabbed a bit faster, shifted and was 100+ in no time flat-- i think we have a winner

Now, none of these are going to my best against your setup as your just going to gas and go-as I call it now. so im debating retesting witht he DR's on.
Im sure its going to help traction, i just dont know if i trust them at higher speeds.. I guess we shall see huh Click here to enlarge

what kind of dr's do you have? if they're DOT approved they should have a speed rating on them, that should set you at ease or worry Click here to enlarge anyway do you have an LSD? that would also ease your worry against the power of awd.

I can't wait. This video will be even more epic. Let me know when you are free (next weekend hopefully). I was playing around in PA the other day with those Lambo's in 60 F weather and I ran a 8.4 60-130. I'm thinking in 50 F w/ a slight decline (~1%) I can't hit low 8s.

a guesstimate of about 480hp and tq to match. i was playing with my settings a bit and although i peaked at 20 psi, it DID taper off to about 17/18. i hit my boost failsafe on that 1st run and immediatley, while driving punched in some lower settings, but i couldnt log it as we were still driving. it was very hectic for me Click here to enlarge

as well as video was made, i dont think it shows either cars true potnential. we planned on meeting up early in the day, but it got rained out, and after about 20 calls back and forth to see if weather was clearing up, we decide to give it a shot and meet. roads were still wet. we drove around for about 30min to try and find dry roads.

We are still in agreement that we need a rematch to better show both of these cars
