• Rob Beck Upgraded Turbo 335 vs. bolt on Lamborghini Gallardo

The 335 in this video belongs to BimmerBoost user LostMarine. The Gallardo belongs to BimmerBoost user Byzantine. The 335 has Rob Beck upgraded turbos (20 psi) and dynos around 480 whp. The 335 is running a JB3, helix FMIC, and 96 octane. The Gallardo has been lightened by about 200 pounds (it is a 2006 model) and has the LOC exhaust, EVOMS tune, and Fabspeed cat delete. We thank these two for making the trip to Bolivia to run the cars and show the result! Enjoy the video.

LOL, North Jersey isn't nearly as bad a the city. I went through 3 runflats in a 4 week period, that was with avoiding potholes, dips, kids and horse $#@!.

Hehe, I actually don't know about that. But there a couple of them that just keep referencing the M5Board videos where an M6 is raping a Gallardo, and I just think to myself, "what funny little fairy tales"

Well, someone tried at least Click here to enlarge didnt last long.. but to address Mr.5 yes, we know it wasnt ideal for Byz car to go from 50+mph, but at the saem time, i couldnt get traction slower than that, hence the do-over. And yes, I believe I will have to play catch in better conditions, how much, and if i can overtake him is the question. If you go back to him Vs the pcar, which is lighter and stronger(?) than me, he had to get a little as well..
Don't know how I missed that thread (I posted two in Vid Gallery), but going back to the video and watching our second run, it did sound like it took forever to reach 4th gear from that 55/60 pull. Like I mentioned somewhere, 55/60 is like 4-4.5K on my tach in third. I could start in second I guess, but I would only go for like 15mph before having to shift (we can try that though).

EDIT: sorry for the double post, but I also find it funny that they closed the thread. Someone made a new thread asking why it was closed. It will be interesting to see the response.

I'm Central Jersey. But I feel it gets progressively worse as you move north.

If Steve is up for it, I'd say the weekend after I come back. I did some math and I can still subtract 60-70 lbs. from the car (my HPDE race set up). So I'm excited to see what will happen.

They like to think their cars are faster than they are. Gustav has been feeding them so much $#@! they don't know what reality is any longer.

I actually had an M5 owner 2 years ago when the M3 first came out tell me it was pointless racing my DCT M3 since he saw on M5board how much faster the M5 is. Well, after the race he was on M5board crying his Dinan M5 got its hass handed to it by a stock DCT M3. I loved it of course, Gustav and the M5 owners hated it, and I was banned.

Start in second, just go 5 mph lower for the start.

I had this same problem racing a friends STI, when starting in a lower gear he would get the jump but in the right gear I would have to shift right away almost. It still was better to be in the gear with the higher rpm, it is what our style of engines need. Just be aware of the shift.

Yeah I actually don't mind the shift. I guess we'll do a 30-130 to satisfy the "100mph rule" which I will be in first gear for. Then we'll do the traditional 40/45-130. and a 55/60-130 (both of these in second).

LOL. Gustav and his gang are a complete waste. It's such a shame because he and his videos have so much potential. He is currently the most watched Automotive channel on YouTube, but half his $#@! is rigged or dumb.

Do not disagree with this. Thing is, they are most watched because there is no real alternative. I'm working on that Click here to enlarge

I dont mind what speed we start at, but i think our gearing is going to be different no matter what speed. for instance, 40mph is perfect, im just going to need to let it down shift to 2nd,ill only be there for 4-5 seconds, but its better than laggin in 3rd while you rip me a new anus.

if we go slower, and your in 1st, id still have to be in 2nd, and def no traction for me.. (w/o the DR's Click here to enlarge ). I think the reg 40-130/135 is fine. dont need an actual 100mph rule, i dont think anyway, but if you wnat to we can, as time/space permits

i mean for vids we can do whatever and show the differences, but for our best vs best, its gonna need to disregard matching gears.

Is that balloon white or whatever it's called. TT that sucker and you'll be my hero. I'll run any race you want just to be next to that thing.

Yeah, I feel 40/45/50-130 is pretty standard. You're saying you can't start in 2nd @ 40/45 and you have to be in 3rd and let the trans kick down? Maybe if we come off a light or slow down to a speed that you can downshift into 2nd and roll to match around 40/45, that would be better because I feel the kickdown definitely would give me a big jump.

Everyone thinks its Balloon White in pictures, but it's boring old Metallic Silver w/ Satin Black Wheels.

Still awesome car. I was thinking of painting my car balloon white. I'll probably just stay PHoenix yellow tho. I've spent enough in last 2 years. I want to come hangout so
bad. I'll have some info on my car in next week. I'm
pretty sure that's my engine being build in those hpf vids. I could be wrong but his blown headgasket comment has me thinking it's mine.

Don't paint it, wrap it. Cheaper, more durable, and it's reversable. When/where did you want to set up a small get together? Best would be a place that would give us access to some good roads for runs.

Does anyone know how much ATCO charges to rent them out for a day?

You know a place that wraps? I've done small stuff roofs and hoods but whole car outta my league.
I really have no idea where to hang out and do runs. I have a buddy with a sick 996tt out in Lancaster. He said there's some good roads and less cops but that's kinda a ride. I think the best thing to do is once my car is done and ready to rock I'll call you, lost, pcar to see what's up. I really have no clue where to run. Unless we just cruise down turnpike and use marines walktalkie joints to talk. Lol

Unless you just want to meet and bull$#@! and do some small runs first to think of a battleplan. Between the 3 of us we can get some gnarly cars out.
