Technology marches on as the result shows with the M6 coming out on top. The M6 1/4 mile trap speed is 131.27 miles per hour to the RS6's abnormally low 114.18 and the mile difference is 182.45 for the M6 to 174.48 for the RS6. A decisive victory for the M6.
The GTR run is unfortunately a dud as the GTR has some issues at the line and does not get going until the M6 is already finishing up. Whatever is affecting the GTR forces it off the tarmac and it can not complete the run. The M6 backs up its mile trap with an even faster 184.56. It's definitely moving well.
The final run is against 9FF turbo GT3. You may be wondering why a turbo GT3 but as a power and acceleration platform the high revving GT3 motor and lighter curb weight makes a lot of sense to utilize. Horsepower for the GT3 is stated to be around 1000. It takes a little while for the GT3 to stretch its legs but it puts up the faster 1/4 mile trap at 135.57 to the M6 128.48. The mile trap for the GT3 is lower though at 176.97 meaning the GT3 likely let off or its aerodynamic drag became a large factor or likely both. Regardless, for what is claimed to be a 1000 horsepower car the GT3 is not performing like one.
