The ECU file was read out of the car and a diagnostic test was carried out to make sure there were no error codes stored on the ECU. Of course as the car had been decatted this was the only error showing. This would be taken care of as part of the ECU tune. After strapping the car down to the dyno we proceeded to do a baseline run as the Supersprint parts had been fitted before hand. The car baselined at 345.6 BHP. The average figure for a stock E46 M3 on our dyno is 325 BHP so that was a good start. After tuning the car made a consistent 360 + BHP figure with the best figure of 365.4 BHP. So that meant a peak BHP gain just shy of 20 BHP with just the Evolve ECU Tune. Torque gains were between 10-20 lb.ft through the rev range. We were happy with the results and more importantly the customer was very happy with the improvement of on road performance.
