    • New Product: Gaphix BRK (Belt Replacement Kit) for E92, E93, and E90 3-Series and M3 - Seat belts in various colors

This next-generation of seat belt integrates pyrotechnics with the retractor mechanism. Prior to deployment of the vehicle's airbag, a signal is transmitted to the seat belt assembly which ignites a miniature gas chamber to propel a specialized piston. The linear motion from the piston is transformed into rotational motion within the retractor, causing the spool to reel-in the seat belt. Occurring at the blink of an eye, the seat belt aligns the body into an optimal position for reducing injury during an accident.

Adapting production to make use of this technology required additional training and certification to handle hazardous materials. The result is premium-quality, American-made colored seat belts for your luxury vehicle, backed by a one-year limited-warranty. Available in seven colors (blue, green, orange, red, silver, white, and yellow), the standard Front-Pair Kit includes two pyrotechnic retractors, each fitted with colored webbing, mounting bracket, stop-button, and tongue; the tensioner buckle release-ends are not included and must be previously present on the vehicle.

Each Belt Replacement Kit may be configured as follows:

      • Front-Pair (BRK-443-FP): The front-pair of driver & passenger shoulder belts
      • Rear-Pair (BRK-443-RP): The rear-pair of two shoulder belts
      • Whole Set (BRK-443-WS): Whole-Set includes both front & rear kits

Combining the sporty feel of a racing harness with the everyday convenience of a shoulder belt, the Gaphix Belt Replacement Kit takes interior modification to an unprecedented level. Whether it's complimenting an exquisite paint job or infusing a splash of contrast to the upholstery, these premium seat belts straddle the line between elegance and performance. There's no need to choose between a dedicated track car and a luxury daily, now you can race in the morning and fine dine in the evening, with no equipment to swap or hide.

Ensuring that quality and safety do not take a back seat, Gaphix Design Haus chose to work with an established American seat belt manufacturer to bring the BRK-443 to market, which makes use of new OEM hardware and American-made seat belt webbing. The webbing and thread materials are FMVSS certified and destructive testing is routinely administered to verify compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Final assembly is performed by skilled professionals using validated equipment under strict quality control guidelines.

A limited one-year warranty is included that covers defects in material and workmanship.

Professional installation by an independent service shop recommended - install procedures not included.

      MADE IN THE USA

Special thanks to BimmerBoost and Gintani for their assistance in making the BRK-443 photo shoot possible!

I'm not certain but I think Gaphix only has these for the E46 and E9X right now?

I was just curious. One of these days I might pull the trigger, but I have a few other things on the mod/maintenance list I need to take care of first

Don't seatbelts already do this. Or is this different.

Nvm this is the over shoulder part. Normally its the latch that sucks down.

Exactly, the "buckle" tensioner was the standard cinch point which pulled the belt tighter around the occupant. Now the retractor actually reels-in the webbing, which seems a more direct approach. The only downside is the increased cost and now having to deal with hazardous goods, but we got certified for that. Click here to enlarge

Believe it or not, the next generation of seat belts are already being introduced in Europe, even more high-tech!

Fun fact: The auto-eject seats found on military aircraft were the first to use this technology.
