    • OE Tuning helps create the world's most powerful supercharged E46 S54 M3 - 610 whp

610rwhp 423lbs torque for a VF Stage 3 M3 tuned by OE Tuning is now the world's most powerful supercharged S54. The vehicle was previously running a tune from VF's partner, GIAC, but there were concerns about the car running too lean as well as having idle surge issues which are well documented with VF cars. OE Tuning managed huge gains as well as a safer air fuel ratio from the previous tune.

Here is how the car looked with the previous tune:

Congratulation to OE Tuning and car's owner, CarbonChooch.

        Hello all,

Very busy yet again on the dyno today...

Few tuning notes on Andrew's car:

Stock head, Pauter rods with CP drop in pistons.
The supercharger appeared to be dragging at idle due to being a bit "over-pullied", started to nose up off top/slippage. Boost was 16psi.
The air filter was tiny and insanely dirty, needs replacement.
        AFR's were below 12.0:1.
93 octane, Brand of gas unknown - drive right off the street. NO W/M.
100 Degrees in the dyno cell, we had trouble getting the car good airflow at this power level.

AFR was mid to 11's at the tailpipe

        93 octane? Wow, no meth?

Edit: I see no meth, just 93 pump, wow!

Holy sheeeetttt!! Making 610 rwhp on 93 octane in 100 degree heat!! That is just plain ridiciulous! Jeremy is changing the game.

This isn't going to be the last we will see of VF hardware getting tuned by OE, that is fore sure.

93 octane and 100 degree heat, amazing.

Man, I would love to see how much extra power he can squeeze out of the Stg. 2! I think Nik needs to really look at getting away from GIAC after seeing these results!

The Stage 2's have been pushed too far as is from what we have seen. I don't know if I would expect power gains rather than a cleaned up curve and proper air/fuel ratios with meth on 91 octane.

Nik won't get away from GIAC as they have an exclusive deal but from what I have seen here I don't really have quite as much respect for GIAC's abilities in the BMW realm.

That's actually a great question, I'm wondering if OE can just tackle any application including something like yours.

What does OE Tuning use for this application?

Keep in mind though.. a custom tune will ALWAYS be better than anything off the shelf. When making a tune for the masses, you have to sacrifice because every car will be slightly different.

        This is absolutely true.

I saw you saying you were considering OE Tuning for yourself as well Click here to enlarge

I've already made initial contact with them..

Had someone tell me ESS built as 620 WHP car a year ago.. so might not be the first..

I wouldn't invest in ess dynos. They used that exact sheet for more then one car.

        Hehe, thank you.

When an ESS customer posts up a graph like that I will be the first one to say congrats, most powerful SC M3 out there. Until then, the OP's is.

Yep, I've seen them post that graph a few times. Don't believe the VT-3 or built motor stage setup is out yet. They have been talking about it and posting graphs for what seems like years now.

This setup was tuned on the stock DME via Alpha N, 16psi peak.
