Road and Track gets test numbers for the M6 Gran Coupe 6-speed manual - 1/4 mile in firstname.lastname@example.org, 4371 pound curb weight
Finally some test numbers for the M6 Gran Coupe these courtesy of Road and Track. What makes the results interesting is that Road and Track tested the 6-speed manual version and not the 7-speed DCT. So what was the result? 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and the 1/4 mile in email@example.com. Not bad at all and quicker than any 6-speed manual M5 results posted so far. Additionally, that is a great elapsed time for street tires the Micheline Pilot Super Sports clearly offering some good grip.
The curb weight for the M6 Gran Coupe comes in at 4371 pounds which is very close to the F10 M5
. However, if the Gran Coupe was equipped with the DCT Transmission that weight disparity would likely be close to 100 pounds. The weight distribution is also 52/48 front to rear which is shying a bit away from the BMW 50/50 rule we have all come to respect. These turbo motors carry a penalty in weight and in its distribution.
