• Maximum PSI stock S54 DME and stock internal Stage II E46 M3 turbo kit reaches 697 wheel horsepower

BimmerBoost is happy to give credit where credit is due and credit is most certainly due here. Congratulations to Maximum PSI as well as Nick G of Technique Tuning for raising the bar on what a stock DME tuned E46 M3 turbo S54 inline-6 engine is capable. How does 697 wheel horsepower and 513 pound-feet of torque at the wheels with MS109 race gas sound? And how about the fact that they aren't done as E85 maps are planned?

E85 dyno plots will come next and they are planning to offer map switching with different boost levels although this will likely not be possible on the fly. The fact it will be possible at all is something of a minor miracle. It is nice to see the E46 M3 platform maturing finally after all these years. Congratulations to all involved, dynograph and video below.

Nick, he's in Pompano lol. I've been there twice a couple years ago.

Congrats to Nick G and Maximum PSI. Those are really sweet numbers. Can't wait to see the e85 maps!

        Repped for accuracy.

Sorry US, F1 does not equal Indycar nor CART.

So what is the pricing on the Stage 2?
      1. 7to3_enthusiast's Avatar

stage 1 is $9500 out the door. Stage 2 is only a fuel pump, fuel injector, and boost controller upgrade. And all this is done w/o meth with a 62mm turbo.

Can they go bigger on the turbo? What is Stage 2 pricing?

I think the only bigger turbo option right now is stage 3, which is a 6466 and built motor. Haven't seen what the added cost was for stage 2 yet.

I didn't even know they were doing a stage 3. Interesting... expected power? Or how far along is it?

Yeah, it's listed on the website, still using the stock DME, very exciting! Haven't heard about any builds yet, maybe one of the guys will chime in and give us a little info tease

I've been searching for an E46 M3 for awhile, but then debated on a used 335i. Now Max PSI introduces this awesome kit, and VTT is becoming the godfather of the N54! It would be a weekend / hobby car, so kinda leaning towards the M3, maybe.

We have a built motor ready for assembly next week. The car should come together shortly. We have several stage one cars at the shop so we are getting all of them out the door as soon as we can. We shipped one kit last week, another car left today. Another arrives tomorrow. Exciting times!

We haven't released any pricing besides stage one kits. We will have the stage two prices available shortly. We can put together built motor quotes if interested.

        Great work MaxPSI!

        I think this will start a 2nd wave of E46 Turbo M3s.

I haven't viewed the website so thank you. I'm way excited. I hope someone does chime in and additionally I'm curious as to how Stage 2 versus Stage 3 drive power numbers aside. The E46 M3 just keeps getting cooler.
