    • BMW E82 135i with upgraded N54 twin turbos versus an ESS VT2-625 DCT M3 from a roll

Another great M3 versus 335i battle which is an ever so popular topic on the Bimmerboost forums. What we have here is a 135i with RB upgraded twin belonging to Burger Motorsports which has BMS JB4 tuning. The M3 is an E92 with a DCT (dual clutch transmission) and the S65 V8 is supercharged with an ESS-VT2 625 kit. The 335 likely has somewhere in the mid 500's to the wheels and the M3 is likely somewhere in the same boat.

The 135i of course has meth and race gas. The VT2-625 setup is likely somewhere in the same area power wise but is heavier. It is hard to know exactly what pulley or fuel the M3 is running.

Oddly, this RB stock housing turbo upgrade does much better against a supercharged DCT M3 than the Vishnu single turbo upgrade 335i posted a couple days earlier did. How does one explain that? Either the Vishnu single turbo is not as strong as portrayed (quite likely as customers are not replicating Vishnu's own hand picked results and figures) or the other M3 in the video is stronger than this one.

For the M3 to pull it looks like it needs a custom race gas tune and another psi of boost. Regardless, great race, enjoy.

it could also be argued that the 135 isn't as aerodynamic as the m3 too...

Also, wasn't this the m3 that pulled on a ST n54?

It's running the same supercharger setup (ESS VT2-625), but the M3 is performing exactly like it should. The ST is a dyno queen & the RBs actually perform (proven by all the videos & N54 records). Be interesting to see when people start record hunting with the Vargas Stage 2 & 3s

Yea, don't think Ghost is planning on keeping that car "as is" for much longer

Didn't you post a mid 500's dyno with RB's at one point?

I trapped 130 on the West Coast in positive DA I believe... it wasn't a warm day though.

The DCT 10 mph claims comes from years ago when ESS was struggling to match my trap speed. Since then they upped boost, added race gas, and came out with a stage 3 setup for a select few who maybe went a lil too far on stock internals.

Oh my god it was great. I busted out laughing in the line at the bank. What a beast of a car. Hopefully the engine problems will be taken care of and it comes back even stronger.

very IMPRESSIVE good job, that's why I believe in the 328i potentials same weight as the 135i and lower drag 0.29 instead of 0.33 I can't imagine if you lowered the curb more what would happen Click here to enlarge

Nice kill Terry. Too bad my 535i could never be that fast because of the weight....

Not really that surprising, the 135i is just a superior car ;0
