    • 2007 R171 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG with the Kleemann supercharger for the M113 V8 and Evotech Motorsport USA tuning puts down 421 wheel horsepower at Dyno Comp

      A nice result here for a supercharged R171 generation SLK 55 AMG. The car features a Kleemann supercharger, Dyno-Comp upgraded injectors, Evotech Motorsport Tuning (although Dyno-Comp claims it is their ECU upgrade/tune for some reason), and MBH headers. On 91 octane pump gas the result is 421.9 wheel horsepower on the Dyno-Comp Dyno Dynamics dyno. This is good for an increase of 148 wheel horsepower over the baseline.


      This dyno is not reading very far off from a dynojet as baselines for the R171 SLK55 AMG have shown horsepower in the 280-290 rear wheel range. So, this car would likely show just a bit more on a dynojet dyno but nothing radically different. Still, horsepower in the 420 wheel range is a very nice increase from rear wheel horsepower in the 270-290 wheel range.

        Those are Stock Wheels. On stock SLK's I have seen an increase of about 15 whp just by switching to lighter wheels. I'm sure on this one above it would be more

        Prob lightweight wheels always help but regardless the supercharger is making a nice difference.
