GIAC gets massive gains out of the 2013 Audi Q5 with the 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 - +108 horsepower at all four wheels on 91 octane pump gas
The 3.0 TFSI is very tuner friendly due to how Audi controls the boost with the ECU thanks to the bypass valve design. This also means Audi can detune the motor very easily as they did for the Q5 which for the 2013 model year gets the 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6
. It has "only" 265 horsepower and the SQ5 which has the exact same motor gets 354 horsepower
. Well, in comes GIAC with their software to give the standard Q5 3.0 TFSI a huge bump.
With a GIAC ECU only on 91 octane pump gas the GIAC tune raises output from 225 horsepower at the wheels to 333 horsepower at the wheels. That is a gain of 108 wheel horsepower, incredible. Torque figures also go up by 64 pound-feet at the wheels. The Q5 becomes basically a whole new car.
With tune options available it makes one wonder if spending the extra money for the SQ5 is even necessary as the standard 3.0 TFSI Q5 becomes that much more of a value. Graph below, great work GIAC.
