• Newest F82 M4 spyphotos show off aggressive body work for the upcoming 2014 M4

The new F82 M4 (it's still weird to say and BimmerBoost just can't get used to it) seems to be shaping up quite well. The F32 4-Series production design was recently leaked and the basic 4 just did not seem to have much of an aggressive look to it. Well, in comes the F82 M4 version of the 4-Series to remedy that and sure looks the part. The spyphotos below are the clearest yet of the upcoming 2014 M car showing it completing winter testing.

The flared fenders are there as is the the more aggressive M style front bumper. The rear diffuser features quad exhaust pipes reminiscent of the E92 M3. The wheels appear large and fill out the fenders quite well. There are also some big brake discs hiding behind them. The car still has camo but it's starting to look the part thankfuly.

      Pics below.

Did anyone notice that "real" handbrake in the interior shot? I still love those.

That drawing on the tach is present in all BMWs with Start/Stop system. It's to show you that the car is not really stopped, it's just waiting for driver input to start.

This thing just does not instill excitement in me. The engine probably won't, the looks don't, and probably the exhaust won't either. BMW exhaust noises sound like $#@! nowadays IMO, just look at the M5. The future C class AMG does though. Even the current C63 coupe feels and looks more exciting in my opinion. Whatever little inline 6 in that ///M is in there will probably never match the brutality of whatever AMG will have in the new C AMG. 4.0 liter TT V8? anyone? Lol Click here to enlarge

Ya TT V8 will be hard to ignore. I'm done with BMW anyway, over it.

Agreed, enough with the spy shots, isn't the 4 door m3 being debuted in sept 2013? That's not far away, you would think they could give us some more....

I'm sure some point during the summer, the BMW official photos & specs will be released. The problem is even if the car is launched in 2014, that's still like ~1 yr of aftermarket development (identifying/addressing weakness, developing an appropriate tuning solution, etc etc).

LM, figured you'd wanna avoid being a guinea pig on another platform after going thru it with the N54 with the JB3 & RB turbos

eh, not really, I had a blast with the 335. only downside was the trans thing, RBs + JB2-3-4 were amazing and i never regretted that part of it. If I got the new M, JB5 would be the first mod Click here to enlarge

Hopefully whatever DCT is in that car is ready for the abuse

Highly doubt this. BMW will not want to spend more than they have to. Plus they'll make it a nightmare for the tuners.

Well I won't compare how well the DCT in the E9x M3s is holding up, even with superchargers because there isn't a ton of TQ. What's really gonna be a good indicator is how well the DCT in the new M5/M6s hold up to abuse once people start tracking their cars & modding them (specifically increasing the boost & a lot more TQ).

I will say that the DCT in the 335is & 135 (with the N55) have been holding up just fine, with some of them pushing out over 400 WTQ.

Have a feeling the M4 will get a substantial msrp bump, over the M3 E92. Think it will be easy to option it into $80k, especially will the carbon brakes.

Exactly and this is a benefit IMO.
