    • 6-speed manual Audi R8 V10 takes on a bone stock 2013 Shelby GT500 and an all-motor modified Camaro SS

Great runs here with some very quick cars. The Audi is a 6-speed manual R8 V10 that is completely stock. The Shelby GT500 in the video is the new 2013 model packing quite a punch with 662 horses straight from the factory. The only modified car in this roll on race comparison is the Camaro SS which has aftermarket heads, cam, intake, and exhaust which is said to be good for a very healthy 520 horsepower at the rear wheels.

The first couple races show the Camaro and R8 going at it and the Camaro pulls a few car lengths rather easily. The R8 V10 simply is detuned a bit from the factory compared to its Gallardo sibling. In stock form it has 465 horsepower at the wheels so obviously the Camaro has more power. However, with a tune alone the V10 R8 can get up to 531 horsepower at the wheels which would make the race far more interesting. R8 owner, speaking to you, get a tune!

The GT500 also beats the R8 V10 easily and appears to be slightly quicker than the Camaro although it is hard to say without seeing them race. Considering its absurd power from the supercharged 5.8 liter which also is underrated from the factory this outcome is no surprise. The R8 V10 simply needs a tune as being detuned to protect the Gallardo puts it at too much of a disadvantage versus the stout competition here.

Thank you to GermanBoost Network member @AWD75 for the video. Give us a shout out next time!

Seems like the camaro gets a jump in both vids, however it does pull on the r8 but not by much. That Shelby should have done better considering it has more than 100hp on the R8. Nice races and video.

Actually camaro didnt jump. In first race, r8 honked and it was a even start, on second run cameraman counted down but I believe because cars were apart from each other r8 driver didnt hear the exact time? Click here to enlarge

Shame we didn't see the Camaro and GT500. Maybe the H/C LS3 didn't want it's feeling hurt?

Good shifting for the R8, a truly great battle here. I'd imagine with an APR flash (55-65hp) the R8 might've beat these beasts

Well, actually GT500 and 'Maro did couple of pulls, but thats another vid. I am trying my best to finish the editing but its so hard for me to find a free time Click here to enlarge especially when the tx2k is so near...

As for the R8, if it had a ECU upgrade, it would have been much better, or if it was a R8 GT... I definitely give props to the r8 owner for getting it w/manual transmission.
