    • What will the F35 4-Series Gran Coupe look like? Something like this and an M4 Gran Coupe may be coming

There will be more than one 4-Series variant with how BMW is attempting to squeeze every model they can out of platforms to increase sales. The (hideous) 3-Series GT was recently revealed and the 4-Series will be getting another variant as well with the F35 4-Series GT. The car is definitely coming as spyphotos were posted as early as August of last year showing the vehicle undergoing testing which means it is close to its completion and reveal.

Will the 4-Series Gran Coupe be a hit? The 6-Series Gran Coupe is a beautiful design although heavy. The 4-Series version likely would be eligible for an M-variant making for an M4 Gran Coupe. Regardless, this car is coming and even though it does have four doors BMW will classify it as a coupe. Get use to the new cars and naming scheme, they are here to stay.

I just cannot call a 4 door a coupe. To me they will always be a 4 door sedan. Why do these $#@!ing manufacturers have to make everything so hard? instead of keeping it simple. What a $#@!ing headache with all these new names. I like it better than the 3 though, I think it looks quiet nice.

Looks alright. But I'm with you on the name. Gran coupe, or any name with coupe in it, to describe a four door is retarded to me.

I do really like the M6 series version though and would hope some of those interior components trickle down to the M4.

Do we really need a gran coupe for every series?

I can understand BMW making cars if they sell. But who in their right mind walks into a dealership and buys the GT version of any of them?

Also, it's the 3 series. Has been for decades. No point changing the name now.

Looks gorgeous, but I doubt it will look that good in reality...then there would be no reason to buy a 2-door coupe Click here to enlarge But hopefully it will look as good and have great dynamics and weight, because I plan to get one sometime.

The 3 series GT could only have been invented by a team of marketers. I think they were going for the buyer who can't decide between a crossover and a wagon but they forgot that those people don't exist.

They admitted they screwed up by not offering the wagon. Then they maybe fired that guy that said that. Or he retired. I'm confused not sure.

I thought the new M3 was going to be a Sedan and the M4 a Coupe.. or did they combine them both into the new M4 and no longer an M3 sedan? Confusing as $#@!.

M3 is sedan, M4 is a coupe, M4 Gran Coupe would be like the M6 Gran Coupe.

I can't believe there is enought volume of sales to justify making all these models....i mean i guess there is but who knows. Make a z4M for crying out loud or a "black" series competitor.

Many more models will be added to the bottom of the BMW lineup before that ever happens...new 1 series based on the mini platform ( some "active tourer" FWD B class competitor), 2 series aimed at filling the gap BMW has created in their lineup by increasing the size of the cars over the size of the e46. 2 series will repeat the appeal to every possible market segment strategy of the 3/4 series (228i, M235i, gran coupe models, 2 series GT, M2, M2 Gran Coupe)
