    • Weistec Stage III+ 1000 horsepower W209 CLK63 AMG Black Series versus SP-Engineering 950R Nissan GTR

Great race here with two heavyweights slugging it out. The Weistec Stage III+ CLK63 AMG Black Series was beating pretty much everything at the No Fly Zone event with the lone exception of this modified GTR. Both cars are very heavily modified and put down somewhere in the 9XX wheel horsepower range. The GTR was running C16 fuel and 30 psi which results in 926 all wheel horsepower as measured on the SP-Engineering Mustang dyno.

The CLK63 AMG is also somewhere in the 9XX wheel range with the Weistec built motor, built transmission, and 3.0 liter blower running high boost. The difference is the GT-R's power is likely 1000+ whp on a dynojet but that is just an educated guess.

Regadless, two very fast cars and a great race between worthy opponents. Enjoy.

Joe - absolutely nothing ...was just curious.

As an FYI my car scaled at 3,970 and it is lighter than Jim's car.

Ya that number adds up. The point really being that it isn't anywhere near a 400 pound difference. With the cage and SC, plus the lightweight components to offset them, what, maybe 100 pounds more than the GT-R?

Regarding my car they should be starting it this week.

I strongly disagree. If both cars are making the same power my money would always be on the R35,they are DEADLY consistent

i swear the R35s are from the future here to enslave all of mankind...and i see now someone came up with a module that can turn them from AWD to RWD with a push of a button....damned machine....

Yes,that trans is seamless and once fully built by Shep its bulletproof. They shift so fast its not even fair for other cars. You would watch an equally powered rival face a GT-R and everytime the other car would shift it will literally fall behind 5-10' on each shift.

I happen to think they are ugly;only the sheer performance once modded is what makes me overlook that ugly face&fat ass.
But I'd $#@!in drive that ugly-ass car all over town & rip off low 9sec 1/4mi times&destroy squids on Busa's&literbikes every chance I had Click here to enlarge

4105 pound with me sitting in the drivers seat.

Yes I did a bunch of weight reduction, cf seats, cf drive shaft, cf roof but keep in mind the added weight of the blower, intercooler, larger oil cooler, ice/water tank in trunk, roll bar, etc.

Bottom line, that GTR ran hard! Serious props to the owner as well. Probably one of the most humble guys. With that said both cars will be at shift sector and we will get another shot at it.

One excuse for the CLK.... Click here to enlarge it was sideways all the way through third gear and the GTR would pull the most there. Good traction would have made it a bit closer. Either way that GTR was real cool.

How much weight or how much cash? Not sure on either to be honest.

What kind of tyres did you use on the CLK during the event? Most the racing I am going to be doing is a 1km sprint so would be interesting to hear what I am in for.

Thank you for the kind words guys, much appreciated.

Just confirmed I can make it out to Shift-s3ctor for Sunday only. Ready to have a great time like I always do and excited to see familiar faces. Looks like I will have to pack extra juice this time Click here to enlarge
