Stock P31 W204 C63 AMG versus tuned C63 AMG with filter and cat delete roll on race

The P31 package makes a pretty big difference. A tune on a standard C63 AMG makes a pretty big difference. So how do they both stack up versus each other? Well, the video below illustrates that comparison very well. The camera car is a brand new 2013 C63 AMG with the P31 option (more power, more aggressive tune, forged internals) that is completely stock with only 1000 miles on the clock. The red 2009 C63 sedan has a tune, resonator/cat delete, and filters.


The run is fairly close but the P31 car is able to pull a couple cars up top by the half mile marker. Yes, this P31 care is pretty strong as illustrated by how it beat an F10 M5 and well worth the money for the stronger engine internals alone.

BenzBoost has seen stock P31 cars versus tuned C63 AMG races before and they were quite even. It seems the tune on this particular C63 AMG is not as aggressive as other tunes as when combined with filters and a cat delete things should be in the favor of the modified C63 ever so slightly. The tune is from GI Motorsports apparently who likely had the ECU Tuning Group do the work. Video below.
