• - No Fly Zone - 3/2/2013 roll on race event pictures and impressions

GermanBoost.com is happy to report that the No Fly Zone private airstrip roll on race event was a resounding success. A lot of serious hardware showed up and Tony from Omega Motorsport Events did an excellent job organizing everything. Everyone knew where to go and what to do. The pictures below showcase what was there and how things looked quite well. Yes, everyone wants race videos and those will all be coming shortly and will be posted throughout the week.

For now, enjoy the pictures. The organization was well done and there are photos showing the quality of the tarmac. I think all participants who experienced this event as well as another competing event can state this venue and tarmac were of much higher quality.

For those who want an event T-Shirt please private message me here or E-mail me at admin@germanboost.com. T-Shirts are $20 each.

I would also like to personally thank Tony and his wife as well as @Weistec and @Terry@BMS . For some inexplicable reason Weistec and Burger Tuning just treat myself and this entire network incredibly well. They also always behave like complete professionals. A personal shout out as well to @JRCART (as well as his friend Rich) who brought out his vehicles and came in all the way from Chicago and @LZH who had some car trouble but still came out.

Looking forward to doing this type of event again soon... with my own car in the mix. Photos below.

Didn't Active do something like 12 psi recently on the stock motor?

It's older mentality and kind of outdated. People see compression ratios and boost and think OMG you can't boost that. It's just outdated tuning thinking really.

I was actually going lower than 10.1 but then talked to some guys and they convinced me to bump it.

I'd definitely lower CR for higher boost tuning. Gives you a lot more tuning flexibility. But, high static CR + high boost + lots of octane can produce a lot of power. I'd just rather have less static CR and more boost on tap given the option.

Speaking of your car sticky, is it going to run in my lifetime? Maybe you can sneak in to the ShiftSector event if its running well. Click here to enlarge

I also beat the grey F458, even after hitting the fuel cut off (whoops), but the 750 HP white M3 was the closest race for me and he pulled about 1/2 a car length I think right about the finish. I've only been driving a stick for a month and a half, since I bought the car, but I don't believe you have a "stock" Z06 turning better times than the ZR1 due to your miraculous driving... maybe I'm wrong.
That Z06 was damn quick. I run 129mph and he was on my bumper. If I had slept at the start I'd be staring at his.

Your Mustang engine's not as sensitive to F/I boost like the S65. Compared to your Mustang, the S65 prob looks like it's made with glass

I contacted Shift Sector and I can use my "credit" but they only have Sunday available. Meh.

Ya, big comp can make big power with tons of octane. Lower comp gives more flexibility definitely but also less off-boost power.

It will run soon... Click here to enlarge

I'm guessing you mean vs Jrcarts or Earls stage 3+ Clk's since the gintani stage 3 setup your going to be running is a low compression/built motor build so to be apples to apples you should run a built engine/trans weistec car that's running higher boost than a non built engine stage 3

I would agree with your assessment.

Nobody is watermarking any of the vids with germanboost.com? Man M3post deleted the thread about this event out of spite and now we are just handing them content?

Whoever's posted the videos can simply delete them & reload with the watermark imprinted (just need somebody to do all the work)

I'm not like them, it's fine. I just find it rather hypocritical how they were having their fanboys go in threads promoting Shift-S3ctor instead of this event, putting this event down, deleting threads/posts, and now they are slurping up the videos without giving any credit.

It's ok, their time will come.

Go for it! At the very least it's a great safe environment to test and tune the car under real world conditions.

I said I'll take Sunday. Apparently there is some BimmerPost fastest BMW shootout. How funny would it be for BimmerBoost to win BimmerPost's event? Click here to enlarge

Well, I'm just saying something doesn't add up. He said he beat a 600 HP GTR on E85, but theres a vid of me running a stock GTR (545 HP) and I trapped 146-150 MPH every time down the track (including that run and you can critique my shifts/racing "savvy" in the vid). But to beat the GTR he references, he'd have to be running 150+ MPH.

150 mph @ the event or in the 1/4 mile?

I didn't ask him what mods were on the car, etc, but I read someone mention a tune and intake. I was hitting 157-158mph (VBOX) at the cones later in the day when I raced him so he was in that ballpark.

Would be epic. I'd pay $10 to see you race Drew & Shiv. Maybe they will let you guys go triple wide down the runway. Click here to enlarge
