      Congratulations to Weistec Engineering and BenzBoost member ecampbell for setting a new M156 1/4 mile world record with a 10.01@139 pass. Yep, incredibly close to a 9 second run and breaking into the 9's is clearly the next step. The 60 foot is not yet known (1/4 mile slip needs to be posted) but the car is hooking well as it improved on its previous 10.212@144.61 with the trap speed dropping likely due to a better launch as well as it being a different track (Famoso).


      This vehicle is now the quickest and fastest M156 V8 in the world and overall the fastest Mercedes in the world. The quickest overall Mercedes title still belongs to Renntech with their SLR which ran 9.68@142.

        Honestly I was just clearing the air. No hard feelings as it was a stupid internet spat. You seem to be really angry over it. Like I said, you were as much of a douche as I was in the thread. Take a look at MBW now though. It would seem more also share my opinion.

        That's the 2nd car that's nearly hit a record recently at Famoso --- 1st this AMG & somebody almost nailed down the NA record for the E9x M3.

        Ya, those guys were out there on Saturday, the Berger Motordsports guys I beleive. They just missed getting into the 10's and we just missed getting into the 9's. DA was great for the west coast, it was as low as +385 at one point late in the afternoon.
