    • The EVOMS "Mayhem" 997 Turbo with a claimed 1500 horsepower is quite a handful on the runway

Ok, so here's a super high power 997 Turbo from EVOMS who is a tuner located in Arizona. They are known for high power Porsches so even though PorscheBoost does not have a dyno from this car to support the 1500 horsepower claim they have enough credibility that the figure is believable although it would still be nice to see it proven. Regardless, the car is taken on the airstrip and it basically just lights up its tires the whole time.

It does not seem to matter what gear the car is in. 1st, wheelspin. 2nd, wheelspin. 3rd, wheelspin, 4th, wheelspin. You see the pattern and the car looks like a hell of a handful once it gets into boost. In its defense the runway looks incredibly dusty to the point it is dangerous with a huge dust trail following the car as it accelerated.

Is this 997 Turbo more powerful than the 1288 wheel horsepower 996TT car from New York? Without any graphs who knows but it most certainly looks strong. It also almost certainly was far more expensive to build. Video below.

So basically what he's saying is they built a car that cannot put the power down?

I can't find the EVT-1500 Kit specific details (the Mayhem kit), except that it's a 4.0L built motor & the kit costs over $200k

Thats an amazing package and a dyno would be great to see... But that track is dusty as hell a better track or street would be great to see.

Ya.... I'd go with the home built 996 that has an actual dyno and costs 10% of that.

You could def piece together your own kit (turbos, intercoolers, full exhaust), a standalone, a built motor, the suspension & drivetrain upgrades for under 1/2 that. Do the EvoMS kits come with a warranty (I know Switzer's packages do)??

Nah and you can just buy a new car for less than $200k so even if it did pointless.

Yep, so if I'm gonna throw around that kind of money, it's off to Switzer with my checkbook

That runway looks horrible. It would be cool to see how Tim's car and this one stack up against each other.

Tim's car is still on stock pistons as well Click here to enlarge
