      Here is what we all knew was coming, the new 2014 Audi RS7. This makes the for the third of the four Audi RS models Audi stated were set to be revealed this year. The other two being the new C7 Audi RS6 and the Audi RS5. That leaves one model left which is an SUV and which will either be Q3 or Q5 based. Just like the RS6 the new RS7 has 560 horsepower from the 4.0 TFSI Twin Turbo direct injected motor which is mated to an 8-speed automatic.


      No dual clutch transmission like in the S6? Bummer. Another downer is that we will not be getting an RS6 sedan. It's RS7 only for the North American market folks. Those that wanted this power and the RS handling and looks in the A6 will not be getting their wish. Bittersweet.

      The RS7 itself though is a very nice design and if the Audi S8 is any indication the performance will be exemplary. Expect mid to 11's in the 1/4 mile with trap speeds in the 123 mile per hour range.

      With the new RS7 coming to play as well as the facelifted E63 AMG and CLS63 AMG BMW's time in the sun with the F10 M5 appears to be over very quickly. Should be an epic battle between the M6, RS7, E/CLS63 AMG, and the Porsche Panamera Turbo for supremacy.

        likely because this is its replacement...almost wouldnt make any sense to have both...

        I fell Merc can do that just because of the brand....I dont think Audi can do that just yet...wouldnt make financial sense in my mind....Merc can just rely on its name damn near to sell the cars

        Audi already does the A6 and A7 so I don't see your point. S6/S7, etc.

        i have to give it to audi tho...they have greatly stepped their game up....lets see how these new motors take to being tinkered with...and how the transmissions hold up after...

        It's a HUGE step up. I don't know if most people realize it. They were the red-headed stepchild of the German car world for a looooong while.

        yep...they were....i was initially thinking of an S5 when I had my vert until i found out how underpowered they were...saw the RS5 and was like ....ok.....saw the S8 and the numbers it put down and said much better, then saw the RS7 and was like Im sold....

        Is something wrong with me? Why have I been so tempted lately by Audi? 5 years ago I didn't care about them. I test drove an 08 RS4 a couple years ago before my M3 and never even thought of it until recently. Where did this come from? I'm in love with these new Audi's. I can definitely see myself driving a new S4.
