  • Volkswagen 7-seat SUV set to be revealed at Detroit Auto Show - VW Q7?

Volkswagen will officially reveal their seven passenger sport utility at the Detroit Auto Show this month. Rumors are that it will be priced very competitively and possibly even less than Touareg. It will not have the same off-roading ability. The vehicle will be manufactured in the United States at the same plant where the Volkswagen Passat is produced and it will likely put the nail in the coffin of the Routan once and for all.

Expect gasoline and diesel versions. The Passat platform is expected to be stretched for this SUV so expect more of a car than truck.

Sounds like a stretched Tiguan, like the one they sell in China. If it looks decent, and has a bigger back seat than the current Tiguan, I'm pretty sure we'll be trading our Tiguan in, yet again, for this model.

Why do you need so much space?
