      Ok, in the Viper's defense it is not exactly a brand new car. This is a first generation Dodge Viper RT/10 which was fast for the early 90's but these days does not exactly set the world on fire. Still, for back in the day it the numbers were not bad at all showing a capability of high 12's in the 1/4 mile with a trap speed in the 113 mile per hour range. The power rating of the 8 liter V10 was "only" 400 horsepower at the time.


      So, not all too surprising to see the Porsche Panamera Turbo dust it from a stop. Partially due to the all wheel drive with a dual clutch transmissions and partially due to having much more power from its Twin Turbo V8. Technology gets the victory here.

      Kind of amusing to see the announcer struggle with identifying what the car actually is lined up next to the Viper.

        At least he knows how to say Porsche, and didn't call it a "Poorsh".

        Certainly not a fair fight, but remember that the Panny gives up nearly 1,000 pounds in weight to the Viper. Looks like the Viper guy fell asleep while the Panamera was getting staged.
