      Here are the latest spyphotos of the next generation F15 X5 testing. The SUV will continue to be built in the United States and what is interesting is that it would appear production might begin as early as August of next year. The N20 is likely to make it under the hood so the X5 will have a four cylinder option. Other engine choices will be as they are now with the N55 turbocharged six for the xDrive35i and the N63 V8 (likely the technical update version N63tu with 450 horsepower) for the xDrive50i.

      The SUV itself looks fairly large. Hopefully BMW can keep the weight down but the current trend is BMW's getting bigger and heavier. This also makes room for an X2 and X4 in the lineup. Expect to see the SUV revealed late next year.

        Goddamn those fogs are hideous. The one thing I hated on the x1 now the x5 gets the same treatment.

        I'm guessing the generation after this one will just be a school bus.

        Wow, what a fail this seems to be. The thin upper pillars copy the Mercedes GLK but that is much more good looking overall. The back has no incline whatsoever, it looks bad. And really, when will BMW really up the power on the damn 6-cylinder turbo engine to like 360hp so I can think about a new BMW car again ? Even Opel/Vauxhall and Ford offer cars with more than 300hp nowadays, and those are front wheel drive. Really BMW, where is the POWER ?

        I don't think power is the problem right now.
