Acceleration test numbers for the new 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 powered 2013 Audi Q5 - firstname.lastname@example.org
The Audi Q5 will ditch its naturally aspirated V6 for the 3.0 TFSI motor starting with late 2013 model year cars. This makes for a major upgrade under the hood providing 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque despite only 2 more horses on paper than the previous 3.2 V6. The motor is significantly detuned from the B8 S4 which has 333 horsepower and the 272 rating is even 38 horses less than the A6 featuring the same motor. On the bright side, it is likely that all one needs to get all that power back and then some is some aftermarket software tuning. 400+ horsepower Q5 anyone?
tested the 2013 Q5 3.0T and recorded a email@example.com in the 1/4 mile with 0-60 coming in 5.8 seconds. This is significantly faster than the 2.0T four-cylinder turbo model which manages a firstname.lastname@example.org and improves upon the 3.2 V6 model it replaces which was only slightly faster than the 2.0T at email@example.com miles per hour.
With the 3.0 TFSI winning numerous awards
and companies such as APR announcing significant upgrades under development for the motor
, the Q5 with the 3.0 TFSI V6 is going to be a very nice SUV with a lot of performance tuning potential. Great that Audi finally gave it the motor it needs. Oh and don't forget, a hotter SQ5 version is likely on the way
