      Ok, so here is the new 2-Series which will use the F22 and F23 chassis designations. The new F20 1-Series did not come to the United States being a hatchback, which also means no new 1M, but the 2-Series is set to fill that void. Make sense? Good. So the 2-Series will have a convertible variant and a coupe. The drivetrain will be shared with the the F20 1-Series meaning 28i and 35i models using the N20 and N55 motors.

      The question is whether BMW will compete with the RS3 sedan or Mercedes CLA45 AMG using the 2-platform which with the new naming scheme is supposed to be just for coupes. BMW may add a "four door" coupe to the 2-Series lineup and compete that way using an M2. These BMW naming conventions and chassis numbers are getting tough to keep up with, eh?

        This thing looks odd, proportionally, maybe it's just the camo, but it looks so bulky with a low roof line.

        It's a little small but the proportions seem ok to me.

        Looks quite nice to me. It seems to have the new headlamps for the 1-series facelift, and not the current butt-ugly ones.
