• Say hello to the BMW 4-Series - Photos of the F32 4-Series Coupe Concept - 428i, 435i, or 440i?

As BMW often does they released a concept model ahead of the official debut of a new production model. In this case, it is the F32 4-Series Coupe. The car looks all around and sleeker than the F30 3-Series. BMW's new "side vent" seen on the 3-Series GT (Gran Turismo) is also incorporated on the 4-Series coupe. Most opinions thus far on the forums are calling the vent tacky but it seems to be a staple of the new BMW styling direction for this generation.

The F32 4-Series has a two inch longer wheelbase than the F30 3-Series. It also is 1.7 inches wider with half an inch less height. This lends to a more aggressive, sleeker, and sexier looking car.

The drivetrain lineup will no doubt mirror the F30 3-Series. The question is if BMW will go with the 440i or 435i name for the model using the N55 3.0 liter turbo. In the 3-Series the model is referred to as the 335i so it would be odd for BMW not to mirror this although this same motor also get the 40i treatment in other models such as the 640i. Time will tell, for now enjoy the photos until we get the official production model sometime next year.

        Looks a bit photo enhanced.

The real life spy pics give it a lot less aggressive look.

Pepboys already has the carbon version of the side vents:

I really have to see it in person. I hated the e9x platform at first but once I started seeing them more I really began to love them.

Looks like the future is here. This car looks like its ahead of its time a little bit. The exterior design at least.

The front is gross, but I love the body lines.

The front is atrocious and I'm willing to bet that it will be overpriced just like the current new generation 3 series.

The side vent actually doesn't look too bad in these pics. I wonder if they will be like this or if they are like that earlier pic.

i don't like the rear valance. The front either needs a splitter/lip or get rid of the large single vent opening. The lines are very nice but the silhouette looks very g37 ish.

Kind of ugly. They need to get the proportions right. Looks like a G37/Lexus. Hood is too high... etc. Glad I have an E92 for now. If they get it ironed out and ditch the side vent, maybe. I also think the LCI models look like $#@! besides the 335is.

Not a fan of the side blade thing or the exhaust/lower rear fascia, but I'm liking it. E46 is still the most beautiful gen of BMW, IMO

Front and rear valences look like crap, but they are probably not going to make it to production in those forms anyway. The angel eyes look really mean. Other than that, looks like not much to get excited about. The side vent still looks like ass, and the rear overhang is way too long for a BMW design IMHO.
