      Audi blew everyone away with the A3 Sedan Concept which sported a 408 horsepower version of the TT-RS 2.5 liter inline-5 cylinder motor routed through a dual clutch trans to all four wheels. This car was the closest thing Audi had produced to the B5 S4 in quite some time. Well, the A3 sedan is coming as the spyphotos below clearly show and hopefully with it comes a high performance RS3 version exactly like the concept.

      This vehicle will compete with the Mercedes CLA and with a CLA45 AMG set to come with a 356 horsepower turbo four cylinder motor chances are Audi will compete with it using an RS version of the A3 sedan. Let's all hope they actually do it. With Audi and Mercedes in the mix, this leaves BMW the odd man out in this segment.

        We know the 2er Gran Coupe is coming wouldn't that be considered a competitor? A M2 Gran Coupe has not been confirmed though. Anyway, I would love to see an RS version with over 400 hp. I think it would force BMW to follow.

        We're still waiting on some official words but all signs point to a 2-Series. If Audi RS and AMG are going head to head here, BMW will really have no choice.
