Porsche 997 GT2 RS versus Ducati 1199 Panigale rematch - 2 mile long drag race

You may remember that in August of this year a video was posted showing
Chris Harris in a 997 GT2 RS racing a Ducati 1199 Panigale S on the drag strip. Suffice it to say the Ducati crushed the 997 GT2 RS which is no surprise but Harris' poor drag strip performance was partially to blame. So now a 2 mile long race from a roll was chosen for the rematch between the Ducati bike and Porsche's fastest production 911, the 997 GT2 RS. This type of race takes away a bit of the bike's advantages.
A long race like this will favor a high powered car for a couple reasons. First of all, the aerodynamics are going to simply be in the favor of the vehicle. The drag exerted on the bike is much more than a fairly slipper 997. Additionally, the top end game is really dictated by horsepower. The GT2 RS has much more of it than the Ducati. So although the Ducati's power to weight advantage will give it a tremendous advantage in acceleration terminal velocity favors horsepower and aerodynamics.
Check out how the race plays out in the video below.
