• VWBoost member hits 473 wheel horsepower in his MKVI Jetta GLI with modified APR Stage 3+ kit and USP Motorsports upgraded LPFP

Congratulations to VWBoost member pattrick02 whose MKVI Jetta GLI put down a very impressive 473 wheel horsepower on a dynojet dyno. This car has a modified APR Stage 3+ upgrade but really it is the fueling upgrades that make this amount of power possible. The HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) and LPFP (low pressure fuel pump) system were both modified by USP Motorsports in order to give the fuel system enough of a bump to support this amount of power.

The upgrades to the LPFP system were to add a second in-tank low pressure pump. The high pressure pump was modified to flow more efficiently. The other changes are a new tune and MS109 race gas. The head is still stock so there is still a little more to extract from this setup and cracking 500 wheel certainly is feasible.

    Very nice work @pattrick02 !

I don't want to give exact numbers until I have them for sure, but everything looks very promising right now. Click here to enlarge

      I'll keep updated.
This is great Pat! Now for a bunch of questions

      1. What Fuel?
      2. Did your shop figure out a HPFP solution? I know you didn't want to run Meth so I'm curious as to where you're getting the fuel
      3. What turbo is this on? heard it's a PT?
      4. Still running the custom intake manifold?
      5. still using the APR manifold? just going t25 to t30?
      6. Most importantly: who is tuning this beast?

      Here's hoping to see 600 before 2014!!

Just wasn't making the power we expeted. And it was throwing timing off. All sorts of stuff. These TSI motors are super picky. Any little change and they act all weird. It's unexplainable. If it was on any other motor, it would have easily been making more power.

Thanks a bunch man. Still on APR. Honestly, it has been working pretty well so far, so no complaints.

Hell yeah man. The car has a 10.8 in it for sure. It was really hot out, and the car was getting heat soaked from all the runs. I'll probably head up to the track again when I get back from SOWO!

interesting, what the hell are you doing for fueling? and you're running a PT turbo now right?

I know Arin@APR said any N/A cars making over 500whp are going to be running lean with no meth.

Just a lot of black voodoo magic. Click here to enlarge I haven't run any meth, and I don't really plan on it either honestly. Yeah, I'm running a PT right now. I'm not the happiest camper so far with their company, let's just leave it at that. If anyone has been following my build thread on the tex, you'd know why.. Customer service has been very sub par...and my turbo went bad at 2k miles...completely fried. I've been waiting on it for almost a month now.

PT is going down the drain man. My buddy just got a 6262 for his SS and it had a big Chip right on the anti surge cover. I mean it's not a big deal but they said they won't do anything about it because it shouldn't affect the performance. How stupid??

go with a GTX3076, that's more than enough to flow your needs and much better option IMO.

WOW! That's really absurd. Even if it doesn't affect performance, who the hell sells a brand new products with damage to it? That's ridiculous.

Same with me. It was really unprofessional of a company with such a large reputation. I'm very disappointed.
