Wow! Absolutely incredible results from APR with a DSG Golf R running a "Stage 4" APR tuning package. They did not state exactly what turbo is used only that it is a Garrett GTX series. This is a street legal car that was run in Australia at an Australian National Drag Racing Association certified drag strip. This is a dual clutch transmission (DSG) car that does have upgrades including SSP clutch packs and Harding Performance DSG software.

The car has a built motor setup with a forged bottom end. Also features headwork, upgraded high pressure and low pressure fuel pumps with stock injectors, APR intercooler, intake, and tuning. Wheel and tire setup is 18 inch wheels with Mickey Thompson drag radials.

Hopefully more details on a Stage 4 package with a built motor will be posted. Until then, this is simply a phenomenal achievement for the MKVI Golf R. Just compared this to what a 6-speed manual APR Stage 3 Golf R recently did in the 1/4 mile.

STOCK GOLF R INJECTORS

It's running on 18" VWR Wheels and MT Drag Radials and Sunoco GT+ 104 unleaded fuel.

The vehicle is at full weight minus the rear seat.

Finally, now this is a fast golf R. All the other stage 3 were barely hitting 117 traps lol. Thats pussy $#@!. This mother $#@!er, wow. I'm very very impressed. Wonder if it's using the 3071 or 2871 from their OG FSI stage 4 kits. APR finally has their own LPFP too, that was the limit with the USP 600whp FSI gti they had to make a new one. This car has a lot of work done lol 40K in mods at least.

I think the DSG really helps.

It's just a guess, but I don't doubt it. Built motors/bottom ends, bigger heads valves cams etc, big turbo injectors all the fueling, clutches and software for it the bigger brake kit etc. I can see all that running up there.

All good - i only mentioned it to put the price of the mods VS the actual car for US reader.

40k worth of mods is not as bad as it looks on a 70k car vs (I am guessing) 30k in the US

close, $33,990 base for the 2 door 6speed. we also don't get the DSG over here =/, our neighbors to the north in Canada start off at 40k. I guess we really can't complain about the prices here for the car we get.

it's a gtx3071r...they're currently using a t25 to t3 adapter for their manifold..not what i would do, but it's working so far..

just wish it wasn't a dsg...i'd like to see a 6MT do that
