DTM 2012 - Augusto Farfas wins for BMW in Valencia but BMW remains in 3rd place with 1 race left

Kind of a funny coincidence and fitting that Augusto Farfas would get the win at the DTM race in Valencia this past weekend after being in the news all week when the video of him taking his wife around the Nurburgring in an M3 made the internet rounds. Although BMW got the victory it was really Audi that cleaned up in points getting 61 points over the weekend compared to the 1 point Mecedes was able to get vaulting themselves into first place.

DTM looked pretty much wrapped up and that Mercedes would take the manufacturer championship but Audi fought back strong with 144 points in the last three races. Mercedes getting only 59 points in the same span. It's tight enough in the points standings that anyone can win it in the season finale in Hockenheim on the 21st although Audi will take it if they can just hold off Mercedes.
