yes the Vs CAN run 11.9s stock....i ran a 12.1@117 stock

I was thinking the heat had a big impact on the CTV's performance that day. The 335iS was just better equipped for those temps.

The 60' was dead on equal for both cars along with traction, and the caddy had the jump

I am sure you are in on this man but when is the end of production for the 335is with the N54 or should I say, when is the latest date that I can order a brand new one with the N54?

335is are only sold with N54's, so as long as your dealer has an allocation on a 2013 go for it.

Thanks... but I was wondering when is the latest that I can do this... I would be looking at February.

Than you would have to look for a leftover car at a dealer, I think they're going to start production on the F32 around that time next year.

Do a search on the main BMW forums. Someone posted the planned production lists from BMW.

The 335iS 2013 production will start in June 2012 from what I recall.. Based on previous end of production time lines, it should put the last production date of the 2013 335iS at March-April of 2013.

Hey BuraQ, I've been following your posts for the past month or so and I'm extremely delighted to see your "is" pulling some great times at the track and wanted to congratulate you on it . I recently just purchased 2012 335is after trading in my Xi and will begin to go back to fbo+meth shortly. I just wanted inquire about if you have any slippage with the DTC when driving in D or S when it auto downshifts during WOT and what kind of RWHP your putting down? Also been practicing your modified launch control my tire's say "thank you" lol

384 whp / 429 wtq on a mustang dyno in 93°-95° temps, just got my CP-E downpipes so I will be saying hello to 11s soon.

No I dont see any slippage unless I use LC too much within a consecutive period of time and that is all depending on temps.

Damn.. Nice run! Haha, I wonder what the V driver was thinking. What are your mods? Anything other than the tune?

From what was understood, no. At the level the tune is at on my car there is no need. All is left to the DME to do its own thing after the install

The CTS-V is not an 11 second car, especially in that Florida weather.

Stock V with an auto trans in that heat seems right... If it had any mods at all that trap speed jumps

The CTS-V with its 6.2 liter supercharged LSA V8 is a very potent car. In a drag race it is expected to run low 12's but what happens in the video below versus a Renntech tuned DCT 335is goes to show how big of an effect conditions can have especially on a positive displacement supercharged car generating a lot of heat such as the CTS-V. This run took place at PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway) in 85 degree weather and 1800+ Density Altitude.

The 335 manages a 12.4@113.86 to the CTS-V's 12.8@112.41. The CTS-V and 335 are both capable of more but in hot weather that is what they run. Many people make the mistake of taking a fast time (such as a Z06 running a 10 at MIR in the winter) and thinking the car is always capable of it. The weather has a huge effect on performance.
