    • BMW set to bring 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder diesel to the USA as well as updated six cylinder

The USA is finally getting more diesel options from BMW although our choices still pale in comparison to what is available overseas. A 2.0 liter four cylinder turbo diesel with 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque will make its way over by next year. This motor will likely go into the X1 as well as the 3 Series. A new six cylinder offering greater efficiency will be coming over likely replacing the current M57 in the models it is already available in.

Nice to see the USA get another diesel option although the motor we really want is the tri-turbo diesel in the new diesel M cars.

There is still hope for diesel! This is good news.

8 speed auto is interesting also...have the 6sp in my X5.

I'd love to see the tri-turbo diesel in an X7. Ok so shoot me, but I need to be able to carry a lot of people around sometimes. : )

I'll take the tri-turbo diesel in anything I can get it in.
