    • E60 M5 with tune, intake, and muffler delete takes on a stock automatic Cadillac CTS-V

The Cadillac CTS-V is a very strong car. With it's supercharged LSA 6.2 liter V8 it put outs a respectable 556 horses. It is necessary to mention the CTS-V in this video is stock and automatic. On paper the advantage is in the Caddy's court versus the M5 with its smaller naturally aspirated motor. What this race video below shows however is how potent the S85 V10 in the E60 M5 truly is especially on the top end.

There is a run from a stop as well where the M5 impressively pulls away from the easier to launch automatic CTS-V. We do not need to be reminded how easy the Cadillac is to upgrade and with a few bolt on's the result would be reversed. Still, for a very mildly modified M5 the result is impressive. With some boost, that V10 would become an incredibly potent mill. Check out the video below and thank you to BimmerBoost member TZ04XJR whom the M5 belongs to.

Highway monster if you know how to drive it right.. I think I can break into the 9's 60-130 if I had a VBOX. Especially since I can shave off a shift with my raised rev limit.

Congrats on the front page feature!

Seriously, I watch your videos repeatedly. I am still amazed at how quick your car is with the Evolve Tune. It sounds so freaking good too with your muffler delete.

You need to find a local F10 M5!! That I have to see Click here to enlarge

Thanks Flip!! I'm too looking forward to the day I come across an F10 willing to play. The way those things are looking though, I'll be lucky to stop it from pulling.

I was happy to see the front page post, only my day was ruined by some VANOS codes my beast threw. It's going to the shop tomorrow, good thing I have a warranty.

Thankfully no.. I really lucked out on that deal. I braked hard as you saw in the vid then just chilled and realized it was a blacked out tahoe behind us. He came up and really took his time passing me. I thought I was done haha. One of the added perks of the M5's appearance to the untrained eye Click here to enlarge

        I suspect...

        With S54's making 300's
        S65 making 390's
S85's will be in the high 400's with simple software and proper "airflow" as people get more time to dissect the factory tables on the ECU and improve upon them, like Evolve and Jaws Motosports have been doing successfully.

Nice kill, the car is quick.

C63 tuned only vs M6-full exhaust, scoops, tune. M6 wins by a car way up top.

S85 motors are awesome. I'd love to drop one into an E9x M3

The S85 is one of the few motors I would want to listen to without mufflers.

That is a surprising result with such mild enhancements on the M5. I would think the Caddy would have still crushed the M5. Your car seems like its putting out more than 500whp...

if the V was heat soaked he ran without 40-50whp...literally...and the more pulls he does the worse off it gets. The LSA sc on those things get so heat soaked in the ic its stupid....ask me how i know....but that M5 was fassssst...if that M5 is in the tristate swing my way, see how you do against my caddy Click here to enlarge
