    • Porsche to take on the 5 Series, E-Class, and A6 with smaller Porsche Pajun sedan for 2016 - V6 power only

Porsche is determined to expand their offering and sales volume filling in the lineup with more and more models. The Pajun (the name will likely change) will slot in below the Panamera to take on other mid-size offerings. Expect it to be lighter and sportier but not offer V8 power. Instead, the car will come with a V6's. A 3.0 liter V6 with 320 horsepower for the Pajun S and a turbocharged version of the same motor with over 400 horsepower.

These powertrains will mirror what is available in the Macan SUV which also will not get V8 power to avoid stepping on the toes of the bigger brother Cayenne.

        A 3.0 liter V-6 with 320 horsepower? That's incredible!

When i see Panamera's hatchback shaped tail on the road, i crash into them. Hopefully Porsche design team won't make give Pajun that awful looking tail.

Panamera Junior. But really, Porsche names are awkward as hell. Pajun, Cajun, Macan...

Exactly what Sorena stated, Panamera Junior.

Cajun was the code name for the Cayenne Junior, but when it comes to market it will be called the Macan so obviously Pajun is also just a code name. Whatever they call it, this is great news because I've been raving about the Panamera to my dad and he's extremely interested in it but refuses to pay that much for his next car. The Panamera Junior with V6 power will fit the bill nicely. Those renders look incredible, too.

This definitely has potential to be awesome.

Porsche is becoming better than BMW with their entire lineup evolving...

I agree, I recently got some seat time in a friend's Panamera 4S and was utterly blown away by it. You sit much, much lower in a Panamera than you do in any other sedan which makes it corner like it's on rails even though the suspension is very comfortable. I've driven plenty of AMGs and M cars including the current E63 and E60 M5s and I honestly put the Panamera in an entirely different category, it's that good.

        It's not too bad for a NA engine, right? I mean, the S54 has 333HP @ 3.2L - which is 104.1 HP/l, the S65 is 414 @ 4.0L - which is 103.5 HP/l

This engine - if it is really NA would be pretty good @ 106.7 HP/l

But, since it's not coming out for a while, I guess we will have to see. I am guessing this will end up being charged.

Brother, it's the same SC'd Audi 3.0 V6 that Cayenne Hybrid has. Click here to enlarge

LOL - that makes more sense... I thought it was naturally aspirated. If so, that would have been a pretty cool engine. Should have known better Click here to enlarge

It would definitely be good HP per liter but I think the motor may end up being the supercharged unit. We will see, seems like too peaky of a motor for something this heavy.

I agree... I test drove a Panamera 4S last year and was highly impressed by it's capabilities and overall package. The car feels like a limo inside but still can do a tight feeway offramp at 80mph.

I think a 2dr version of the Pajun will be where it's at for a GT if they can get the weight down.
