      The new N20 turbo motor is going to become a very popular tuning platform and is already off to a very good start. 270 wheel horsepower on a dynojet is right in the range of what the E9X 335i put down stock. So essentially a tune and a downpipe and you hit stock 335i power. The N20 is not going to going to give up a whole lot and is going to be the definitive BMW tuning value. Also keep in mind this is early on so gains of 37 wheel from the baseline with a tune and downpipe are just the beginning.

        This is going to be one bad little engine! I'm curious to see what type of PSI the little stocker can push out. Does anyone have a pic of the stock turbo?

        That is awesome! I am really liking that torque curve for a little boosted engine. When they stick the N20 in a smaller car, I might have found my perfect "fuel efficient" daily driver, haha.

        BMS has done it again, I can't wait for our 328i to get here in a month or so! I might have to buy this tune for my brother.

        This is a much more enthusiast minded base engine than the old straight 6 was. You pretty much had to step it up to a 335i for any decent performance modifications, but now this could make for a pretty cool starter car.

        I'd buy one for my kid. If I had a kid. lol

        It's real nice that the 328i is able to be tuned so easily but we are all getting excited here about stock 335i numbers lol...

        Even for a turbo 4 this isn't that great, then again this is a BMW (an efficient daily driver according to the company).

        Those are actually pretty decent for a downpipe and a tune only. I'm sure there are plenty of places to pick up a little extra power on this motor. I'm just happy that there is more boosted motors these days.

        It is super early but this is a nice step.

        On the 128i and 328i you can retrofit the DISA valves from a 330i, X5 3.0si, X3 3.0si or Z4 3.0si ($150 for the parts used), flash on a BMW tune, and be at 272 HP, NA, with factory reliability (as they're factory parts designed for use with that engine).

        The 128i weights 230 lbs less than the 135i. I know which I'd rather have!

        Yeah, I think he's crazy but he never felt comfortable with it and considering it was his first car, I can kind of see why.

        I'd really like to know two things.

        - Is the N20 in the 125i the same engine or are there subtle hardware differences?
        - Will the downpipe also fit a 125i?

        I would assume the 128i and not the 125i is the one with the same motor.

        Regarding the downpipe, I don't know.
