      A very impressive result for a naturally aspirated M156. This W204 C63 AMG features the Renntech C74 widebody kit. In addition the vehicle has prototype Renntech camshafts, Renntech ported cylinder heads, long tube headers, a prototype intake manifold, race exhaust, built transmission, limited slip diff, weight loss (unknown to what extent), and a Renntech race tune. This is a very strong result for a naturally aspirated M156 especially at PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway). Video of the run is below and we expect this work in progress to get even faster.

        PBIR, so not a fast track by any means.

        Yes,that is exactly what I was thinking. I wonder how much 09/10' pre-owned C63's are selling for privately? Close to what those mods cost probably lol. Doesn't add up for me but Im sure the owner of that C63 is very happyClick here to enlarge

        It would be excellent to have a low 10s NA C63. This Renntech car and propabley Dodger's will most likely make it happen

        I dont think that summer really kills an NA car that much.

        All of these mods and 10.8 only ? I wonder what weight reduction is it vs dodger's !

        Actually heat and (more specifically) humidity affect the entire 63 line-up very dramatically. The CLK63 BS is able to resist a little more due to the improved oil and trans cooling but it still gets affected. Cooling for the NA 63 models is just not really that great. Over the past 4 years there's been so much data comparing different tracks, temps, humidity, etc.... and they all showed an incredible difference between cool and dense air vs hot and humid conditions.

        I didn't say that it doesn't affect it at all.

        I just wanted to deliver an info which is it affects a supercharged car more than being NA.

        Everything else you said is totally right.

        Aha, then would the performance of the car running a supercharger @ 50F or 60F, be the same @ 125F ?

        No. Obviously any engine whether it's NA or FI is going to run better in colder dense air. But,a NA car relies on atmospheric pressure to fill the cylinders&will see a much better gain in horsepower then a FI car in negative DA given the same parameters.
        A forced induction engine does not rely on atmospheric pressure as the power adder(turbo,S/C) is forcing the air inside. An FI car will not suffer anywhere near as much when the DA goes up. There is even a different correction factor for calculating corrected 1/4mi times for FI cars vs NA cars.
        Just ask any hardcore professional engine builder who races NA&FI cars if you think Im full of $#@!. Click here to enlarge
