      Now we are just going by the horsepower figures given in the video as we do not have any dynos to accompany the claims. However, they both are likely accurate due to the result of the race. The CLS63 AMG is able to hang right with the tuned Ford GT and if the race went further it looked like it could pull slightly up top. We do not know the exact list of modifications on either car but the CLS63 obviously has Renntech software and the Ford GT is likely running a pulley, exhaust, and tune from Heffner. Regardless, very impressive result for the CLS63 AMG against stout competition.

        CLS63 was keeping up pretty good. The question , is that Ford GT really 750 HP?

        750 in the GT seems low but in any case that a modded CLS is with a modded GT at all is amazingly impressive considering the weight disparity. I would like dyno numbers on both cars!

        very cool! The gt is no joke, but you know I have never seen one lightly modded lol. All the ones we play with and run at the shop are all supercharged....(gotta love texas)

        ? ... the ford gt comes with a supercharger stock. the real big boys put a pair of hairdryers on and make 1000+ wheel.

        Meant to say turbo lol. I have yet to see one with under 1300whp....I will try and find pics. One of our customers has a FEW of them....

        Seemed to me the only reason the CLS kept up was because the FGT lost so much ground during each shift then gained it back pretty quickly only to lose ground again for the next shift. True manual transmissions simply cannot keep up with these new gearboxes like the MCT's, DSG's, PDK's etc...

        It is a fairly big weight difference but the CLS has an absurd amount of torque.

        AMS made 550/700 on an E63 with just a dyno calibration. I'd assume this one has that and bolt on's (exhaust), which means (assuming the hp/tq climbs at similar ratio) this car is making over 800ft/lbs of torque (crank).
        I'd assume the GT is header/pulley/tune.

        Also, one cannot asses this car can't keep up because of the transmission without knowing how it was shifted/who drove it and what it would do with better shifting.
