• Weistec ECU tuned M157 2012 CLS63 AMG takes on a Powerchip tuned C63 AMG

      Wesitec recently released their M157 tune and here we get to see it in some real world action. The CLS63 AMG straight up destroys the C63 AMG and this is not much of a race. The CLS just puts bus lengths on the C63 practically instantly. In the defense of the C63, the Powerchip tune is one of the weakest available for the M156 platform and rumors are that Powerchip is not even a functioning business any longer (more on this at another date). The Weistec tuned car is so strong though that it really would not matter what tune the C63 was running although it would have at least been a better fight with a different tuning option.

        why even post this video ??? looks like the C63 was tuned by Walgreens .

        Correct me if I'm wrong but the C63 is the M156 and this CLS has a tuned M157 with ~620whp, right ? Not a good comparison at all considering the CLS is putting down about 150 more hp but it does give you a good idea of how much stronger this M157 motor is.

        Exactly, shows a real world encounter which is cool to see. Obviously it is a big disparity and the C63 is handicapped by powerchip.

        too bad i live in El Paso , Tx where there are very few AMGs in the area . i would love to set some good race videos up after my car gets boosted (in the works)

        I'd love a crack at that tuned CLS63 with my Kleemann+MBH C63, especially since I'm local. I ran one with the Vtech tune at the recent airstrip event and although I got beat, it was actually a pretty close race. Unfortunately the camera stopped recording during the run so I could never post anything.

        that C63 couldn't have beat the CLS before the tune.man i have to start saving up money so i can buy a 157 in a year or two.that motor is beast.
