      The X5M is very quick for an SUV namely when going from a stop. The 2011 Corvette Gran Sport with the LS3 6.2 liter V8 is hardly a slouch either and obviously much, much lighter. The all wheel drive and automatic make the X5M fairly nasty out of the hole and it is much easier to launch than this 6 speed vette. The race goes exactly as it should with the X5 getting the better 60 foot and establishing a lead out of the hole with a 1.78 60 foot compared to the 2.12 of the C6 and it manages to hold off the vette with a 12.3@111 versus a 12.7@112. With a better launch the C6 would take this race although it is close which certainly shows how impressive the X5M is.

        Launching rear wheel drive 6 speeds on street tires isn't easy but still, the 112 versus 111 trap.

        Kinda slow for a vette no? I thought the regular ones run about 116mph........

        People think times are set in stone. This is what it will run at PBIR in warmer weather.

        Good run, the Vette was sleepy off the line but still a good indicator of the X's power for sure
