      Automotive news and reveals move pretty fast these days. Last week we reported that Mercedes intended to launch a new SL65 AMG with the reveal taking place next month at the New York Auto Show. Mercedes decided for whatever reason to reveal the vehicle online early before the show which more and more manufacturers seem to now be doing with their vehicles. The car looks absolutely fantastic.

      Yes, it does get the new 7G MCT automatic transmission ditching the old 5 speed which had been used with all the twin turbo V12's up to this point. Whatever upgrades Mercedes gave the box will likely be sought after for those adding big torque to their cars equipped with this transmission.

      The motor receives a slight boost over the previous generation putting out around 630 horses in the latest iteration. We will have more details after its debut at the New York Auto Show.

        So visually are there any differences with the 63?

        Not on the SL65 yet although I'm just wondering how much heavier than the SL63 it will be.
