    • VF-Engineering VF620 BMW E9X (E90) M3 S65 V8 supercharger kit install photos, videos, and before/after dyno on 91 octane

The VF-Engineering kit may have been the last to market of the major US players for the S65 V8 in the M3 but it definitely is making some waves. The M3 receiving the install here is an E90 with DCT. The baseline on the car completely stock was a very healthy 351 wheel horsepower on the EAS dynojet. After the install? 521 wheel horsepower on 91 octane. A very healthy gain of 170 wheel horsepower which is a realistic gain on 91 octane.

Installation generally takes about 3 business days.

yea, i dont like that every thread turns to me about when ill get one though.
I was/am contemplating just a stg 1 kit though. I dont want the spotlight. I want to enjoy my car w/o being constantly judged and showcased for what it can/cant do.

I do have voicemails from a few people i still need to listen to though Click here to enlarge

but i do want stg2 power, and i want to continue to meet up with locals and do the VS stuff and post videos, just dont want the BS that comes with.. thats my problem..

I hear you. But at the end, like it or not you are gonna get involved in BS.
If you go with ESS, you will be really close to the source of BS.
If you go with other kits (AA, G-Power, VF), fanboys (mostly ESS fanboys) will drag you into BS by questioning your kit.
If you go with Gintani, same as above will happen but much harder.

S65 FI scene is the BS.

VF has their own in-house tuners. If I felt i needed/wanted custom tuning, VAC would be able to accomodate and be the intermediary since they have equipment/dyno ect

all i see is a lack of turbos Click here to enlarge

vf has traditionally been quite poor at supporting and developing their e36 stuff

In a boat with American build quality and no dual clutch.

Sure, it's cheaper and all that but nobody choose to modify M3's because it's cheap or easy.

is my car heavy yes, boat..no...if so then the CLS63 and M5 are boats, and as far as american build quality, my cts-v is made pretty damn well...so what if its easy engineering...all you will see is the rear end of my car for all that engineering you speak of Click here to enlarge...i dont mind taking the easy road to make big power...id take a TT Ford GT over a UGR lambo all day....the lambo will never win
