I was engineer on the Magnus 4 car, and when it suffered a motor failure at 3am, I ended up helping with strategy on the Magnus 44. I've been doing this for 11 years now, and this was easily the most rewarding one of my career. What an incredible group. Team owner John Potter, management Shannon Davis, engineer Lars Giersing, Crew Chief John Bidell and team mother hen Lorie Bidell are among the most positive, encouraging, kind people in the paddock - and they are at the TOP of their game.

And who can say enough about Andy, Renee and Richard? These guys set the pace, period. Seriously watch that early morning stint with Renee running away from the 59 & 67 with sub-49 laps. He is the fastest GT3 driver I've ever worked with - yet he's ALWAYS smiling; as honest and genuine as they come. Renee completely embarrasses some top-level drivers who walk around with attitudes and ego to fuel their "persona." You get the feeling this guy would have as much fun playing with my 14-month old as he did in victory lane.

Finally, what a group the 4 car was. Working for the Children's Tumor Foundation was so rewarding - having somewhere around 100 family members and kids there, so excited to be a part, was uplifting. We had the best crew in the business - championship winning crew chief Tucker Merten, data guy Steven Taft, Matt & Abell from Flying Lizard, our fueler Wayne and tire guy Steven (the only Trinidadian I've ever met in the paddock - we need more.) Plus serious pro-driver spotters in Mikel Miller and Zach Lutz, Marcos from HPD as my strategy assistant, mother hen Jill Beck from Children's Tumor Foundation... and pro drivers like Justin Bell and Grand AM Champ Ryan Eversley. Our gentlemen drivers, Daniel Graff & Ron Yarab are heavily involved in the foundation and really were a pleasure to work with. Gotta again give credit to Magnus to assemble such an amazing team on relatively short notice; it made my job easy. And then there's my right-hand man in this - Apex Speed Technology engineer Tim Whitteridge - the guy's a top level mechanic, MOTEC guy & is learning to be a tuner. Can't say enough about him. A starter and idler pulley was out downfall this time, but I'm hoping we'll be back.

Big thanks to everyone on this forum for their support, our company Apex Speed Technology is the reason we can do this stuff, so please check us out and let us know if we can help you with your cars.

Thanks. I know I posted that in several places but I'm sleep-deprived and really stoked. I've work on 3 of the last 4 winning teams in GT, but this year was probably the best. Tim from Apex spent a week wiring both the 4 & 44 before the race and I engineered the 4 car, which was a big step up from just doing strategy or data.

The biggest deal though is its just such a great group of people. Couldn't be happier for the team.

I think there was 23 GT3's in the race.

        They definitely had the numbers.

Yes but 1-2-3 is no accident.

The Camaros and Ferraris had the pace. The Porsches are reliable, tough and have some of the best teams behind them.

Yep, you have to make it the whole race. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
