    • No diesel BMW M models for the United States, huge letdown

Thank you for kicking your American performance enthusiasts in the balls yet again BMW. Fortunately, we are used to it (CSL, GTS) so it no longer hurts the way it used to. Would someone please make sense of this? BMW hypes the hell out of its new X6M50d with teaser videos telling us how great of an "M" it is and gets us all turned on at the prospect of a high performance diesel only to leave us hanging. BMW, you are the girlfriend from hell.

Reports coming in from the NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) state that BMWNA product manager Paul Ferraiolo said the decision for now is that the cars will not come to the USA. Further confirmation came from BMWNA M brand manager Matt Russel who stated the chances for the M diesels coming to North America are pretty slim.

So what was the point of all this? We want more diesels in North America. We want a high performance diesel option. You are about to be surpassed by Audi. Sell us as many models as you can. Diesel demand is up by huge numbers in the USA. Why in the world will you not capitalize on it? This is a love-hate relationship if there ever was one. BMW, stop toying with us.

Yeah, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but that's a pretty silly way to look at things (talking about M3_WC's comment). And what do you mean about diesel prices? You talking about fuel? It more than makes up for itself in the long run, and, the winter prices are always more ridiculous (winter blend so that the diesel doesn't gel).
